Straight answers on instructing a Pakistani law firm from abroad, property and inheritance, family matters and fees. If your question is not here, just ask us.
Yes. A large part of our work is acting for overseas clients who cannot travel to Pakistan. You appoint us through a power of attorney, attested at the Pakistani embassy or consulate in your country, and we then appear before the courts and offices in Pakistan on your behalf. Consultations are held by video call or WhatsApp at a time that suits your timezone, and documents are exchanged electronically.
We draft the power of attorney to cover exactly the matter in hand and send it to you. You sign it before the Pakistani High Commission, embassy or consulate in your country of residence, where it is attested. The attested document is then couriered to us and, where required, registered in Pakistan. We guide you through each step and confirm the wording before you sign anything.
Illegal possession and fraudulent transfer of land belonging to overseas families is one of the most common matters we handle. The first step is a title and land-record check to establish the current recorded ownership. Depending on what that shows, remedies include a suit for declaration and possession, cancellation of a fraudulent mutation or sale deed, an injunction to stop further transfer, and criminal proceedings where forgery or impersonation is involved.
Inheritance in Pakistan devolves at the moment of death, so your share exists whether or not the land record has been updated. We obtain the succession certificate or letters of administration, have the inheritance mutation recorded in the revenue record, and where co-heirs refuse to cooperate we file a suit for partition and possession. You do not need to be in Pakistan — we act under your attested power of attorney.
Yes. We handle divorce, khula, dower (haq mehr), maintenance, child custody and the registration of a divorce with the Union Council, including matters where one spouse is in Pakistan and the other is abroad. We can also provide the certified documentation many foreign authorities require to recognise a Pakistani divorce.
The first consultation is free and without obligation. After it we give you a written fee estimate for the specific matter, so you know the cost before instructing us; court fees and registration charges are set by the government and are quoted separately. Overseas clients pay by bank transfer to the firm's account in Pakistan.
Our office is at the District Courts in Faisalabad and we appear before the civil, family, criminal, revenue and banking courts there, the Lahore High Court, and the Supreme Court of Pakistan. Through instructed counsel we also handle matters in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi and other districts, so a case outside Faisalabad is not an obstacle.
Yes. We advise foreign businesses on company incorporation with the SECP, branch and liaison office registration, joint-venture and shareholder agreements, commercial contracts under Pakistani law, tax registration, property and lease due diligence, employment documentation, and dispute resolution or arbitration if a commercial relationship breaks down.
Yes. Everything you tell us, including in a free first consultation, is treated as confidential and privileged, whether or not you go on to instruct the firm.
